Lady Bears JV Soccer Wins Big over Wesleyan and Sequoyah

Cambridge JV Girls Soccer - 6 Wesleyan - 1

The Cambridge Girls JV Soccer team dominated the Wesleyan Wolves winning 6-1 on Tuesday night March 29th.

In the 1st half at 31:00, Cat Powers #32 scores with an assist from Hannah Behner #38. At 21:00 Hannah Behner scores to bring the game a 2-0 score. The Bears continue to dominate and at 19:00 Hannah Behner scores once again. At 7:00 minutes it looks like the Bears are going to score again as Becca Davis #27 has a wonderful goal but barely misses into the net. At the end of the first half, the Bears lead 3-0.

The Bears the 2nd half driving to score once again. At 33:00 Shannon Royer #34 scores once again by a wonderful assist by Becca Davis. At 19:00 Cat Powers scores her 2nd goal, bringing the score to 5-0.

With 13:00 minutes Wesleyan comes in and drives a wonderful shot on goal but Anna Johnson GK #0 has a beautiful slide tackle to deny them the goal. With 11:00 Wesleyan gets past the defense and goalie for Cambridge and scores a sneak to the corner, making the score 5-1.

With 4:38 left in the game Hannah Behner scores once again giving her a "hat trick" for the game. The final score is 6-1, Bears.

The Lady Bears record now stands at 8-4!

Cambridge JV Girls Soccer - 5 Sequoyah - 1

The Lady Bears had a terrific night on Monday, March 28th by beating the Sequoyah Chiefs 5-1.

Twenty minutes into the game, the Lady Chiefs scored to take an early lead. After that the Lady Bears stopped them cold. The Bears then scored at 18:00 with Lauren Pearson tying the game 1-1. With 59 seconds left in the half Shannon Royer scores on a beautiful shot into corner. The first half ends with the Lady Bears leading 2-1 against the Chiefs.

The Bears entered the 2nd half aggressively and poised to score. With one minute into the 2nd half Cat Powers #32 scores. There were a few shots on goal attempts by Sequoyah but Anna Johnson #0 GK, held them down. At 16:00, Shannon Royer scores again giving the Lady Bears a 4-1 lead.

Finally with 3:45 left in the game Cat Powers drives a run to position a goal perfectly in the corner. Lady Bears win against the Chiefs 5-1.
