Cambridge Athletic Association Scholarship

The Cambridge Athletic Association (“CAA”) is very pleased to announce our Annual College Scholarship program, offering one $1,000 scholarship. This scholarship is made possible by the generous contributions of CAA Members and Sponsors. It is designed to recognize outstanding CHS senior student-athletes who have demonstrated exceptional achievement and character on the playing field, in the classroom and in the school and/or community. The scholarship winner will be recognized at Honors Night. The scholarship is available to any senior who participates on a Cambridge athletic team during the current school year and who meets the Minimum Criteria below. The CAA Scholarship must be used for future educational needs only, e.g., college tuition, room & board, mandatory fees, books, etc.

Minimum Criteria:

Academic achievement - a cumulative average minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale through the end of the fall semester of the applicant’s senior year.
Athletic achievement – a participant on a Cambridge athletic team during the current school year.
Good Citizenship - by having no in-school or out-of-school suspensions in his/her high school career.
Progress toward graduation with appropriate credits to graduate with the current class in May.
A member of the student athlete family must be a current member of the Cambridge Athletic Association (see Join CAA tab above)

Additional Criteria:

Leadership and character within the school and/or community.
A commitment to community service.
Outstanding contributions to extracurricular activities in the school and/or community.

Application requirements:

Completed application must be emailed to president@cambridgebears.com by Thursday, March 27^th, 2025.
At least one (and no more than three) letter of recommendation(s) from a coach of a Cambridge athletic team (may be the head coach, assistant coach, or community coach of any Cambridge athletic team).
