Cambridge Bear - Track and Field Update – 3/29/15

Our Bears competed in the Fulton County Championships at Milton High School on Saturday, 3/28/15.  It is a 2-day overall competition with finals of the running events to be held on Monday, 03/30/15, at the stadium.

This meet features some of the best athletes that the county, state and country has to offer with approximately 16 schools participating.

The competition started early on Saturday with field events on a very chilly morning, followed by semi-final running events.  The competition was spirited and exciting from the start.  Here are few highlights from our Cambridge Bears first day competition events:

Girls 100 Meter Hurdles

• Ali LoPiccolo and Olivia Sieverts had outstanding times in their 100 Meter Hurdles heats.  Ali qualified for the Day 2 Finals competition with a time of 16:50.  Let's come out to support her as we are sure she will make us proud like all of our athletes.

Girls 300 Meter Hurdles

• Alexandra (Ali) also qualified for the Day 2 Final in the 300 Meter Hurdles with a time of 49:52.

Girls 1600 Meter Run

• Caroline Willis and Troyce Grant qualified for the Day 2 Final 1600 Meter Run with times of 5:48.00 and 5:55.31 respectively.

Boys 800 Meter Run

• Bjorn Leicher qualified for the Day 2 Final 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:00.29
• KJ Hirschi qualified for the Day 2 Final 800 Meter Run with a time of 2:04.90

Boys 3200 Meter Run

• Liam Nugent qualified for the Day 2 Final 3200 Meter Run with a time of 10:42.95
• Matthew Hogan qualified for the Day 2 Final 3200 Meter Run with a time of 11:46.52

Please come out to support our athletes.  Other schools have great representation at these meets and we know our fan base want to do the same in support of our coaches and athletes as we build our young program…
