Cambridge Varsity Boys Tennis Keeps Rolling; Sweeps North Atlanta and North Springs

The Cambridge Boys Varsity tennis team scored two 5-0 wins this week against North Atlanta on Tuesday afternoon, March 8th and North Springs High School on Wednesday, March 9th.

The North Atlanta win was secured at the 3 singles lines by Carson Harrell at 1S, Drew Fruehauf at 2S, and Josh Wills at 3S. For the doubles lines, wins by Zac Hirschler & Joey Ladaga (1D) and Kez Fitzgerald and Jason Wiener (2D) completed the sweep. 

The North Springs win came from both doubles teams winning made up of Zac Hirschler & Carson Harrell-1D and Kez Fitzgerald and Jason Weiner at 2D. 

Singles wins were secured by Drew Fruehauf at 1S, Josh Wills at 2S and a gritty win at 3 singles from Grayson Marler. Grayson dropped a first set tiebreaker to his opponent who played a difficult counter-punch style of tennis.  After winning the second set at 6-4 Greyson shifted into another gear winning the third set tiebreak 10-2.

The Bears are undefeated in region play so far with two more region matches next week before the national Deco Turf Tournament at the end of the week.
