Cambridge Men's Tennis Team Heading to the State Tournament

The Cambridge Men's Tennis team earned a spot in the GHSA State Tournament with their performance at the region tournament in Laurel Park, Georgia April 16th & 17th.

The Bears coasted to a win at all lines against Central Forsyth in the first match.

In the second match of the day, the Bears were not able to pull out a victory against the Pope Greyhounds, despite a strong win at line 1 doubles from David Ashcom and Michael Feirer

In the consolation match on Thursday April 17th, the Bears again won convincingly against Riverside with wins from Fierer/Ashcom, Kez Fitzgerald/Brenner Lapid, Drew Freuhauf, Carson Harrell and Jack O'Donnell

Next week the State Tournament begins.  It is likely that your Bears will be playing away.

Go to GHSA.net to find the draw for the state tournament.

Under each line it will say "Region" and then a number.  The first is the region number and, we are 7A (our region includes 7B).  The 1-4 are the seeds, and Cambridge is the number three Seed, while Pope is seeded second, and Northview is seeded first.

Congratulations on a second year of state playoffs.

Go Bears!
