The Cambridge Lady Bears volleyball team brought home some hardware after finishing Runner-Up at the 2023 Georgia Challenge on Saturday, August 26.
From the first serve to the final point, the Lady Bears battled fiercely against formidable opponents delivering great performances match after match. The Lady Bears swept its way through the tournament with victories against Kings Ridge (25-18, 25-16), Westlake (18-25, 25-19, 15-8), Pickens (25-21, 25-23) and Southeast Whitfield (25-18, 25-16).
However, the Bears fell short of winning the title after a close two-set defeat to the Wolverines 22-25, 19-25, in the finals as the tournament was hosted at Woodstock High School.
Seniors Caitlyn Rocker and Lauryn Martin were named to the All-Tournament team.
Congratulations to the entire team and coaching staff for their incredible performance throughout the tournament.
