Varsity Football takes place at Cambridge, Friday, Oct. 3rd at 7:30pm.. both teams will be looking for their first region win.
North Atlanta (0-2 Region, 1-4 overall), comes in after suffering a 45-7 loss to Sprayberry (3-2 overall).
Cambridge (0-1 Region, 3-1 overall) comes in after a tough loss to Kell, 28-27.
North Atlanta has a smaller roster and a GA ranking of 381. Cambridge with a healthy roster and a state ranking of 137 has a good chance at the win. The Warriors haven't been generating many points (32) compared to what opponents have been scoring against them (165).
The North Atlanta Warriors have 18 seniors on their roster and a 6'1, 190 QB, so though favored, Cambridge can't take anything for granted. Senior Charles Mills, who had a standout game against Kell last week, is questionable for play due to an injury sustained in the final part of that game.
Bring your raincoat, to insure it won't rain, and cheer on your Cambridge Bears. Come early for pre-game recognition of the Cambridge Feeder football and Cheer teams and to hear the spirited Cambridge Marching Band.
Tailgating starts early. Feeder Pregame celebration starts at 6:30pm.
Game Time is 7:30pm.
