Congratulations to the Cambridge Bears Varsity Girls Golf Team...the Cambridge Athletes of the Week!

The Cambridge Lady Bears Golf team have had an incredible season on the links.  

They won All SIX tournaments they played in this season, also capturing Low Medalist honors in each event.  

They Won the 2014 GHSA 5A State Championship with a score of 223 (that's a 74.3 average!) with Sabrina Long capturing the Individual 5A State Champion title with a stellar 71.

Rising to the occasion in the biggest tournaments, they won the GHSA Region and State tournaments by 30 and 25 shots, respectively...very impressive! 

In the program's first two years, the girls have entered 11 tournaments, winning 10.. plus a 2nd place finish in last year's State tournament.

Despite having no Seniors on the team, the girls are obviously a very talented and experienced group and should be returning all players next season.

Coach Vajda and Coach Klein look forward to watching the team gain additional tournament experiences over the summer to get them ready to defend their State title next year.
