The Cambridge Lady Bears Volleyball Team takes the court for the opening matches of the 2015 season this Wednesday, August 12, at Harrison High School. Our opponents will be the Allatoona Buccaneers and the Harrison Hoyas. 

We face Allatoona in the 6:30 match. The Buccaneers went 36-17-1 last season and 14-0 in their region. They are a strong team, only having graduated two seniors; both outside hitters for the Buccaneers. Fortunately for the Bears, we are very familiar with this team, as we faced them in the sweet 16 of the state tournament last season, defeating them in straight sets. 

At 7:30, we face off across the net from the Harrison Hoyas. The Hoyas finished last season 45-6 and 7-0 within their region. They made an admirable run for the state championship, but were defeated by North Gwinnett in the final four. This will be the Lady Bear's first time facing this 6A power house. But the road to the state championship is paved with the remnants of challenges conquered… not challenges avoided. 

All in all, this should be an exciting start to what promises to be the Lady Bears best season yet. So if you want to witness some championship-level volleyball and cheer for the Lady Bears, join us at Harrison High School Wednesday night.
