October 11th marked the last night the inaugural Cambridge Bears would ever play together.  It was a night of heart and fight.  The Bears first took on Central Forsyth in the first match of the Area tournament.  Even though it was a strong battle, the Bulldogs came out on top in just two sets.

After much anticipation, the Bears found in the second game that they would be playing their rivals, the Kell Longhorns.  The Longhorns had just played two tough three-game matches prior to the match against the Bears so It was the perfect time to strike.  The team looked strong in their play and determined to win in their demeanor.  Captains Samantha Wardach and Alex Wright led the teams hitting percentage.  Wardach with .250 and Wright with .333. The team's defense was also on point.  Overall, the Bears had 15 outstanding digs.  After a long hard fight, the Bears fell in a heartbreaking two sets. 

Although this season is over, the Cambridge volleyball program has only just begun.  Plans for future successes are already underway.  This team laid the foundation for many great teams to come!
