Lady Bears Volleyball Fall to Northview, Riverwood

Lady Bears Volleyball Fall to Northview, Riverwood

The Lady Bears were put to the test last night as they took on Northview and Riverwood.  The evening started out with Cambridge challenging the home team, Northview.  Even though the Bears stuck with the Titans for majority of both sets, the end result was unsatisfactory.  Despite the team's pass reception of 73% in the first game and 81% in the second, the Bears could not come out on top, dropping the match in two sets.

It was another disappointing match for the Bears when they took on the Riverwood Raiders.  Cambridge worked to recover from the loss earlier in the night and push for a win.  Freshman Alex Wright passed a 2.6 for the entire match and was an offensive force as well, hitting .250.  Sophomore Kiley Dempsey did her part by showing a consistent defensive effort tacking on four digs.  Unfortunately, the Bears fell in two sets 25-11 and 25-13.

Next up on the schedule, Cambridge will head to Johns Creek High School to play the Gladiators and the Dunwoody Wildcats.  Matches start at 6:00pm against Johns Creek and 7:00pm against Dunwoody.

The JV team will play at Kings Ridge tonight (9/19) at 6:00pm against Central Forsyth and 7:00pm against Kings Ridge.

Come out and support the Bears Volleyball teams!
