The Varsity Girls Tennis teams finish runner-ups in the DecoTurf High School Championship, Friday and Saturday, March 15-16.

The Lady Bears made a run back to the Championship for a second year in a row coming up short 4-5 in an epic battle of grit, determination and class.  Top teams from all over the country compete in college style competition, 3 lines of doubles and 6 lines of singles).

The Lady Bears fought in the top bracket dropping only 2 lines on the way to the championship. Lady Bears won 8-1 against a tough first round opponent from Florida only to take down hometown rival Lambert High School 8-1 in the Semifinals.

The Lady Bears would battle in the finals through the toughest match to date. Bears came out fighting in doubles with lines 1 and 2 falling and 3 securing their point. All 6 lines hit the courts at once fighting hard with everything they had coming up a little short. We could not be more proud of how our our Lady Bears competed and behaved on and off the court this weekend!!
