Milton, Georgia – The Cambridge Lady Bears Varsity Soccer team had another big win against North Atlanta High School, 9-1, causing an early end to the game on Friday, February 25, 2022.
The Lady Bears scored 9 goals in the first half of play, including one by Junior Forward Jordynn Dudley in the first minute of the game. Defensively, the Bears played strong and fast only allowing three shots on goal for the entire evening. All three Bears Goalkeepers – Senior Captain Olivia Barfield, Senior Gabby Quinn and Junior Catie Murray - were able to get in the game and have time in net.
Offensively the Lady Bears took 20 shots on goal and scored nine, including a hat trick by Jordynn Dudley. Goals were scored by Senior McCall Bennett (1), Senior Captain Ella Ciardullo (1), Junior Jordynn Dudley (3), Sophomore Aurora Gaines (2), Junior Gaby Sanchez (1), and Freshman Maddy Ward (1). Per GHSA rules, the second half was abbreviated based on the number goal differential and the game ended earlier than expected with a final score of 9-1.
The Lady Bears will start Region play at Chattahoochee High School on Tuesday, March 1st at 6:00 pm.
