Lady Bears Varsity Soccer Score Big in Win over South Forsyth, Tuesday, February 22nd

Milton, Georgia – The Cambridge Lady Bears had a big win against the South Forsyth War Eagles, 10-0, causing an early end to the game on February 22, 2022.

The Lady Bears owned the game offensively scoring 5 goals in each half of play.  Defensively, the Bears were strong and protected their Goalies.  Senior Captain Goalkeeper Olivia Barfield only saw one shot on goal for the entire first half of play.  Junior Goalkeeper Catie Murray playing in the second half, defended one shot on goal resulting in her first Varsity save.

Meanwhile, the offense would take 25 shots resulting in 10 goals for the game, including a hat trick for Sophomore Natalie Leibel.  Goals were scored by Senior Captain Ella Ciardullo (1), Sophomore Aurora Gaines (1), Junior Katelyn Hardwick (2), Senior Captain Kate Leibel (2), Sophomore Natalie Leibel (3) and Junior Gaby Sanchez (2). The referees would call the game with 13 minutes left on the clock, as the Bears were up by 10 points.

The Lady Bears will play North Atlanta High School at home on Friday, February 25th at 6:00 pm.
