Lady Bears Soccer Shuts Out Centennial as Sophomore Jordynn Dudley Scores 4 Goals, Friday, Feb. 26th

Roswell, Georgia – In their first Region game of the 2021 season, the Cambridge Lady Bears took home a big win against the Centennial Knights, 8-0, on Friday, February 26, 2021.

The first half of the game showed steady play from both teams.  The Lady Bears had many scoring opportunities, but the Knights' Goalie would surprise them with an aggressive start.  It was not until 30 minutes into the first half that Gaby Sanchez fed the ball to Sophomore Forward Jordynn Dudley who took a hard shot to the bottom right corner of the net.  The Lady Bears would be on the board first and go into halftime with a score of 1-0.

The second half told a different story.  In the first minute of the game, Kate Leibel passed the ball to Jordynn Dudley who used her speed and footwork to get around a defender and made a hard shot to the back of the net.  Less than 3 minutes later, Jordynn Dudley would take another shot that was deflected by the Centennial goalie, but Kate Leibel would make a quick second effort shot to score.  The Lady Bears were up 3-0.  The Lady Bears would really open it up after that.  Jordynn Dudley, would score her third goal of the night, on a pass from Senior Safiya Said, 5 minutes later.

The Lady Bears would win 8-0 with 4 of the goals scored by Sophomore Jordynn Dudley in her first game back on the field after a terrific season of Basketball for the Bears.  Goals were also scored by Kate Leibel (1), Natalie Leibel (2) and Ella Ciardullo (1).

The Lady Bears will host Chattahoochee High School on Tuesday, March 2nd at 6:00 pm.
