Don St. James will be the first Cambridge Varsity Wrestling Coach and brings 22 years of coaching and teaching experience to the high school.  His wrestlers have enjoyed a very high level of success both on and off the mat. 

St. James has coached 15 state finalists, 5 state champions and 38 who placed in the state.  His wrestlers have enjoyed success at many prestigious schools including Duke University, Brown University, West Point, UGA, and Georgia Tech. 

This will be the second wrestling program that Coach St. James has had the privilege to build from the ground up as he recently led the program at Centennial High School. 

Coach St. James is looking forward to this tremendous opportunity to work the Cambridge High School staff, parents and future wrestlers to build another wrestling powerhouse.

Don St. James was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum in Stillwater, Oklahoma on Sun May 6th, 2018 as part of the Class of 2018 in the state of Georgia.  Coach St. James was inducted for "Lifetime Service to Wrestling" in recognition of contributing at least twenty years to the sport of wrestling as a coach, referee or contributor. Coach St. James is a highly-regarded coach at north Atlanta area high schools (Etowah, Centennial and Cambridge); former assistant coach at the University of Tennessee under legendary coach Gray Simons; sought after clinician at numerous camps and clinics across the country; coached 13 GHSA state champions; and collegiate star at UGA and University of Tennessee.
