The #1 6A ranked Cambridge Bears wrestling team started the season with a 2-1 record in the Mountain View High School Quad, Wednesday, November 25th. 

The great news is the Bears football team is in the playoffs, but that left the wrestling team short-handed and forced to forfeit 4 weights.  Cambridge beat host Mountain View 45-15, then beat defending 4A state champion North Hall in a tight 30-23 dual, until falling to 6A foe Alexander by a score of 41-28.  

The Bears were led by Connor McHugh (senior, #1 ranked 220lbs) and Will Thomas (freshman, 106lb) with 3-0 records.  Wrestlers achieving 2-1 records include Mason Truncale (sophomore 120lbs), Ben Werth (senior #3 ranked 138lbs), Cullen Kane (sophomore, #5 ranked 145lbs), Nicholas Barton (junior, #4 ranked @152lbs), Jake Guida (junior 160lbs) and Brenden Boyd (junior #2 ranked 182lbs)

The Bears return to action on Dec 2nd against Sequoyah, then Dec 4th against Creekview, and Dec 5th against Denmark.
