Gavin Kane has been Nominated for Atlanta Sports Awards-Team11 High School Athlete of the Year!
Cambridge High School's very own Gavin Kane has been chosen as a Team11 Athlete of the Year nominee! Kane is a 4x Georgia state wrestling champion, and is the #1 ranked wrestler at 170 pounds in the nation and in the state of Georgia. A 5x all-American, he posted an amazing 165-2 record during his high school career. Earlier this year, Kane also came in first place in the 2020 Doc Buchanan Wrestling Tournament in Clovis, Calif, a prestigious national tournament featuring top nationally ranked wrestlers from more than 100 high schools across the U.S. Kane will continue his wrestling career at the University of North Carolina.
Voting closed midnight Friday July 17th.

You, the fan, will decide who wins these prestigious awards presented by the Atlanta Sports Council and 11Alive. Voting will end at midnight on Friday, July 17.
Winners will be announced beginning the week of Aug. 3 on 11Alive and 11Alive.com. In addition to the awards below, we will also recognize pre-selected honorees for the Lifetime Achievement Awards presented by Coca-Cola, the Positive Athlete Award presented by Southern Company and the Unsung Hero Award presented by the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation.
