For the second year in row the talent possessed by the Cambridge Wrestling Bears has secured the team a spot at the GHSA State Duals in Macon. 

At the Region Duals hosted by Pope High School on January 11, the Bears easily checked off wins as they wrestled through their bracket to land in the final match with Pope.  This was certainly the match of the day with both teams possessing multiple wrestlers having attended and/or placed at State in the past.  Pope dominated the lower weight class matches while Cambridge dominated the upper weight class matches.  At the end of the day the split was 7 wins for Cambridge and 7 wins for Pope.  Since dual matches come down to points, Cambridge fell to Pope by 6 points.  The teams will could meet again next week in Macon.
