The Varsity wrestling team competed in two very tough tournaments over the Christmas Holidays.
Will Britain lead the way winning both tournaments with relative ease.
Many of our varsity wrestlers did not compete at the McCallie invitational for various reasons. However most of the team competed at The Heart of Dixie tournament in Alabama and the Bears faired very well.
Brandon Filosi was the tournament Champion and most outstanding wrestler when he defeated a national ranked wrestler from Florida in the Finals. Zach Corcoran and Dawson Brooks both finished second at their respective weight classes with Dawson leading the tournament with 5 pins over a two day period. Taking third for the team were Chris Anderson and Trey Wolfe. Eric Cizek finished 4th and both Neehar Gandhi and Marshall Tillman finished 6th at their weight classes.
The Bears compete in the Area Duals on Friday night, January 8th and all day Saturday, January 9th with the top two teams moving on the represent the Region in Macon the following week.
