The Cambridge Bears Varsity 2015-16 wrestling season started brightly as the Bears defeated Creekview (45-15), Forsyth Central (48-32) at Creekview HS on Wednesday, November 18th.
The Bears followed up with victories over Stockbridge (48-30) and Dekalb (54-24) on November 21st at the Kennesaw Mountain Duals. Despite two defeats to Alexander (42-27) and Hill Grove (40-30) at Kennesaw, the Bears were able to rally to win the Warrior Classic at North Atlanta High School on December 7th.
Cambridge's winning roster at the Warrior Classic included six Champions, two Runners-up, and a 4th place. Dawson Brooks, Zach Corcoran, Brandon Filosi, Will Britain, Marshall Tillman, and Eric Cizek all won for the Bears while Corcoran, Filosi, Britain, Tillman, and Cizek all carried on their undefeated seasons.
The JV wrestling team also had success, winning the West Forsyth Duals Saturday, December 5th, going 5-0 with Elvis Riopelle pulling off a big win to give the Bears the Championship.
The Bears wrestle again on Saturday, December 12th at Cleveland High School in Tennessee.
