The Cambridge Lady Bears Lacrosse team defeated North Gwinnett 17-8 this past Wednesday Night, May 8th to advance to the Elite 8 of the GHSA 6A/7A lacrosse state playoffs.
Next up for the Lady Bears is a match up with the Lassiter Trojans at Lassiter High School this Friday Night, May 11th at 6:00pm.
After a back and forth first half, the Lady Bears exploded in the second half to outscore North Gwinnett 10 to 1. Senior Ally Schnetzka was the key to shutting down North Gwinnett and led the defense with 4 caused turnovers and 4 groundballs. The Dora sisters, Junior Belle Dora and Freshman Maddie Dora, led the offensive charge scoring 8 of the Lady Bear goals with Junior Jolie Blohm and Senior Bailey Hawkins accounting for another 7 goals.
