The Varsity Girls Basketball team evened their region 7AAAAAA record to 3-3 this past weekend with wins over North Atlanta and Dunwoody.

Friday Night, December 15th at North Atlanta, the team rebounding was the difference as the Bears had a +12 rebounding margin for the game.  Sr. Raegan Dunwoodie had 14 points and 5 steals, Junior Audrey Smith 14 points and 6 rebounds, while Sophomore Raigan Traylor pulled down 13 rebounds to lead a solid team effort for the 41-28 victory.

The girls were back home Saturday, December 16th vs Dunwoody and came away with the 46-45 win as Junior Audrey Smith hit the go ahead free throw with .9 on the clock after a back and forth contest that saw the Bears outrebounded their bigger opponent 49-36 overall. Smith led the way with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 7 steals & 3 blocks, while Raegan Dunwoodie had 14 points and 4 steals and Traylor again led the rebounding efforts with 10.

The young varsity squad displayed great energy, communication, and hustle plays throughout the weekend and looks to continue to improve as the season progresses.

The girls hit the road Thursday, December 21st with the Varsity boys' team following exams for a holiday tournament at Veterans High School in Kathleen, GA and will play at 4:00pm with the boys following at 5:30pm.
