On March 23, the Cambridge track and field team went to Johns Creek High School to compete in the Fulton County championships. There were a number of top performances by both the boys and the girls.
Among them were:
Preston Clemmer - fourth in the 200 meters (school record time)
Seth Odom - third in the 800 meters
Aidan McHugh - fourth in both the 1600 meters and the 3200 meters
Grayson Peterson - sixth in the 1600 meters and seventh in the 3200 meters
Francisco Palacios-Rodriguez - seventh in the 3200 meters
Mavric Gould - eighth in the 1600 meters
Ibrahim Bangura - third in the 110 meter hurdles and fifth in the 300 meter hurdles
Rohan Lidhar - fifth in triple jump
Justice Winfrey - sixth in long jump
Thomas Egan - seventh in discus
Kai McCarley - seventh in the 400 meters
Taylor Lasoff - eighth in the 100 meters
Sanam Rangaraj - winning the 3200 meters with a strong finish and second in the 1600 meters
Lilah Versluis - winning the high jump and second in triple jump
On Thursday evening, March 28, a number of the underclassmen and other athletes went to Centennial High School to compete against four other schools in the region. It was a successful night as many won medals for top three finishes.
Among them were:
Lauren Wildstein - winning the 1600 meters
Taylor Lasoff - winning the 100 and 200 meters
Meili Bouton - winning the 3200 meters
Annabelle Luffel - second in the 3200 meters
Kiley Wallace - third in the 3200 meters
Saniya Smith - second in high jump
Rissa Thompson - third in the discus
Christian Frazier - winning the long jump and third in the 300 meter hurdles
Jad Meliani - third in long jump
Louie Madrid - second in the 400 meters
Aidan Freeburn - third in the 400 meters
Craig Dandridge - second in the 100 meters and third in the 200 meters
Cole Spencer - second in the 3200 meters
Noah Ransheim - third in the 3200 meters
Grey Donner - third in the 1600 meters
Evangelos Sambunaris - winning the triple jump
The next meet will take place on April 10 at Cambridge for senior night. Come out and see the Bears compete.
