Track and Field Brings Home Medals and Personal Records From Milton Showcase
CAMBRIDGE BEARS COMPETE AT MILTON SHOWCASE
 
On Saturday, March 2, the Cambridge track and field team went to Milton High School for the Milton Showcase. Competing against 21other teams, the Bears managed to have a very productive day. A number of medals, noteworthy performances and personal records were earned by the team.
 
For the girls, medals were won by Sanam Rangaraj (second place in the two mile run); Lilah Versluis (winning the high jump and finishing third in the long jump); and the 4x200 meter relay team finishing third. Other top female performances were Lauren Tindle (fourth in the 5K) and Taylor Lasoff (sixth in the 400 meters with a six second personal record).
 
For the boys, medals were won by Grayson Peterson (winning the 5K); Ibrahim Bangura (winning the 110 meter hurdles); and the 4x200 meter relay team finishing third. Other top male performances were Louie Madrid (seventh in the 400 meters in a personal record); Mavric Gould (fourth in the 1500 meters and about a half second from the school record); Aidan McHugh (fourth in the two mile run and less than ten seconds from a school record); and Francisco Palacios-Rodriguez (sixth in the two mile run in a personal record).
 
The journey continues toward state. The next big test will be the Roswell Rotary Relays on March 16.
