The USATF National Junior Olympics ended on July 30, 2023 after a vigorous week of competition in Eugene, Oregon at historic Hayward Field on the campus of the University of Oregon. Two rising junior class members of the Cambridge track & field team can now proudly call themselves high school all-Americans.

 

 

Raced through the preliminary and semi-final rounds of the 110 meter hurdles with strong performances to advance to the finals. He then finished seventh in his division among the nation's best to earn all-American status.

 

 

Ran in the 800 meters preliminary round and just missed qualifying in the final. He then bounced back in the 4x400 meter relay preliminary round with a strong performance to secure a place in the finals. During the finals, the 4x400 meter relay team ran against the nation's best to finish eighth in his division to earn high school all-American status.

 

The future looks bright for both these young men and we are proud of and congratulate them on this accomplishment.
