CAMBRIDGE ATHLETES STAY BUSY THIS SUMMER
A number of Cambridge track & field high school athletes have followed up their efforts of the spring season by competing in various meets locally and across the country this summer. The following represent an overview:
Nike Outdoor Nationals - Eugene, Oregon
Dominick Lawshea - finished 10th nationally in the 400 meter hurdles
Julia Versluis - finished seventh nationally in the triple jump
Lilah Versluis - finished seventh nationally in the high jump and 16th nationally in the triple jump
USATF State Championship - Morrow, Georgia
Ibrahim Bangura - finished second in the 110 meter hurdles
Seth Odom - finished seventh in the 800 meters (PR) and ran a PR in the 400 meters
Cameron Parodi - ran the 100 meters
Louie Madrid - ran the 400 meters
Dominick Lawshea - finished second in the 400 meter hurdles (PR)
Chandler Bowen-Jackson - ran the 100 meters and the 200 meters (PR)
Taylor Lasoff - ran the 100 meters and long jumped
Brandon Moss - finished fourth in the 100 meters
The top finishers advance to the USATF region 4 meet at the University of South Florida in early July. Also next month, many athletes are looking forward to competing in the Georgia Games.
