Cambridge Bears Roar at GHSA State Track & Field Meet in Carrollton, May 13-15, 2021

The Cambridge Bears Track & Field team finished their season in grand fashion as they ventured to Carrollton High School for the Georgia High School Association championships, May 13-15, 2021.

A total of 17 athletes (four seniors - Kaine Dudley, Caelan Jones, Cole Suplee and Kathryn Suplee) competed over the three days for Cambridge High School.

More school records were set (bringing the yearly total to 17) and the future looks very bright. The coaching staff thanks all the athletes on the team for working hard this year and wish all the seniors the very best in their future endeavors.

The following individuals scored during the 6A state meet:

Olivia Bollenbacher finished 2nd in the Pole Vault.

Julia Versluis finished tied for 6th in the High Jump.

The girl's 4x800 meter team of Gabrielle Dandridge, Emily Meeker, Jessica Hernandez and Faith Hirschi finished 8th in the state with a new school record.

The girl's 4x400 meter team of Kathryn Suplee, Faith Hirschi, Olivia Bollenbacher and Gabrielle Dandridge finished 7th in the state with a season's best time.

The boy's 4x800 meter team of Noah Prevallet, Braden Hobbs, Cole Suplee and Lyle Donovan finished 8th in the state.

A big highlight was the boy's 800 meter run where Lyle Donovan finshed 8th and Cole Suplee finshed 2nd with a school record time!
