Bears Track & Field Continues Record Breaking Year as Boys Win GHSA 6A Region Championship

The Cambridge Track & Field team went into the newly-created region hoping to do their very best against their seven other competing teams.  After two days of running, throwing and jumping at Creekview High School (Canton, Georgia) on April 27 and 29, 2021, the youthful girls team finished 4th overall and the mixture of older and younger boys won the First Place Region trophy (the first in the short history of the school).

Along the way, the team managed a number of record-setting performances and now has broken 15 school records this season.  The team now prepares to venture to Johns Creek High School for one of two 6A state sectionals on Saturday, May 8.

The top eight overall in each event will earn the right to compete in the GHSA State Championships on May 13-15, 2021 at Carrollton High School. After a great week of practice, the Bears are ready!

What records have been broken this season?  I am glad you asked.
