CAMBRIDGE TRACK & FIELD WARMS UP AND SETS SCHOOL AND PERSONAL RECORDS
On Wednesday, February 24, the Cambridge Track & Field team ventured to Centennial High School for a 3-way meet. Taking full advantage of the warm weather, the team managed to improve on a number of personal records and establish season best marks - and even secured a school record in the process.
In the field events..
- Kaine Dudley won the triple jump (his first time competing in the discipline) and set a new school record
- Jack Quisito finished second in the long jump (personal record)
- Julia Strickland finished second in the high jump
- Noah Prevallet finished second in the pole vault
- Jessica Sheinkopf finished second in the long jump
- Olivia Bollenbacher won the triple jump (personal record)
- Laura Watkins finished second in the shot put (personal record)
- Sarah Meredith won the discus (personal record).
In the running events..
- Ian Chaffin won the 100 meters and Preston Clemmer finished second (personal record)
- Kaine Dudley won the 200 meters and Ian Chaffin finished second
- Kendal Quarles won the 400 meters (personal record)
- Caelan Jones won the 800 meters
- Alex Mecklenborg took second in the 3200 meters
- Olivia Bollenbacher raced to second in the 200 meters
- Gabrielle Dandridge won the 800 meters and Kendall Clemmer finished second (personal records for both)
- Sarah Meredith took second in the 100 meter hurdles (personal record)
- Taylor Barnes leaped to a second place finish in the 300 meter hurdles
- Caelan Jones won the 300 meter hurdles and Preston Clemmer finished second
- The boys and girls won the 4x100 and 4x400 relays in season best fashion.
A winning and healthy evening of following safety protocols was had by all.
