Cambridge Track & Field Continues Assault on School Records at Atlanta Relays

The Cambridge Track & Field team competed in the Atlanta Relays at Lakewood Stadium (Atlanta, Georgia) on February 28-29, 2020.

With a select field of athletes/teams in each event (including a couple of region foes) the Cambridge Bears did an outstanding job that included a number of noteworthy performances and the continual assault on the school record board. These included:

-Jack McHale finishing 5th in the 400 meters;
-the boys 4x400 meter relay team running to a season best time and a 5th place finish;
-the 4x800 meter team finishing 5th (which also is the 6th best performance thus far in the state);
-Grace Wolf finishing 4th in the 100 meters (with a region leading time and 10th best thus far in the state);
-Ryan Jackson winning the 100 meter hurdles (with a region leading time and 3rd best thus far in the state);
-Michaela Prevallet finishing 2nd in the pole vault with a school record setting performance (tied for 2nd best thus far in the state) and finishing 3rd in the 100 meter hurdles;
-Olivia Bollenbacher finishing 7th in the pole vault (tied for 9th best thus far in the state);
-the girls 4x100 meter relay team finished 4th;
-the girls 4x400 meter relay team (Grace Wolf/MichaelaPrevallet/Kathryn Suplee/RyanJackson) ran an impressive race and finished 2nd (4th thus far in the state);
-and even more impressive was the 4x800 meter relay team of Lola Merrill/Emily Meeker/Faith Hirschi/Ashley Sechrest finishing 5th in a school record setting performance (also 5th best in the state thus far).

The boys and girls 4x1600 meter relay teams also raced in and around Centennial Olympic Park prior to the USA Olympic Marathon Trials (officiated by Coach Stafford).

Coach Gray had a full contingent of Cambridge supporters cheering on the first selections of the USA team for Tokyo 2020.
