Bears Swim & Dive Team Celebrates Senior Night, Tuesday, February 7th

On Tuesday night, February 7th, between the girls and boys varsity basketball games, the senior swimmers and diver were recognized on court for their contributions to the program. They will be greatly missed not just for their contributions to points and wins, but for their leadership and character to continue to make our program as successful as it is.

First is Liel Bigio. Liel just joined the program this year. Her favorite event was the 100-backstroke.

Next is Sophie Brison. Sophie has been a member for four years and served as a team captain this year. She will be swimming for the University of Tennessee next year where she will pursue a business and marketing degree. Her favorite event was the 100-backstroke. Sophie holds the school records in the 200-IM, the 100-Backstroke, the 200-freestyle, and the 200-medley relay and 400-freestyle relay. She is an All-American and a state champion in the 100-back, 200-free and the 200-IM. She was a team member of the program's first state championship title in 2020.

Next is Hana El-Gazairly. Hana has been a member for four years and served as a team captain this year. Hana is a diver and has been a state diver for three years. Hana is undecided on where she will attend college but she looks to pursue kinesiology.

Next is Aaron Grann. Aaron has been a member for two years and a state team member for two years. He is undecided on where he will attend college, but he wishes to pursue an engineering degree. Aaron's favorite event was the 100-breaststroke.

Next is Gavin Grann. Gavin has been a member for two years and a state team member for two years. He is undecided on where he will attend college next year, but he wishes to pursue electrical engineering. His favorite event was the 100-freestyle. He is a member of the school record-holding medley relay.

Next is Ian Grann. Ian just joined the team this year. He is undecided on where he will attend college but he wishes to pursue a degree in marketing and film. His favorite event was the 200-individual medley.

Next is Samantha Hamilton. Sam has been a member for four years, a state team member for four years, and served as a team captain this year. She is undecided on where she plans to attend college next year, but she wishes to pursue a degree in psychology. Her favorite events were the 50-freestyle and the 200-freestyle relay. Sam was a team member of the program's first state championship title in 2020.

Next is Matthew Harper. Matthew has been a member for four years and served as a team captain this year. He is undecided on where he will attend college next year, but he plans to pursue a degree in engineering. His favorite event was the 100-butterfly.

Next is Abigail Marzullo. Abigail has been a member for four years. She is undecided on where she will attend college next year, but she plans to pursue a degree in kinesiology. Her favorite event was the 50-freestyle.

Next is Olivia Skinner. Olivia has been a member for four years and a state team member for three years. She is undecided on where she will attend college next year, but she plans to pursue a degree in forensic psychology. Her favorite event was the 100-backstroke.

Lastly is Karsyn Warden. Karsyn has been a member for two years as one of our divers. She will be attending the University of Hawaii next year.
