Cambridge Sweeps Combined, Girls andBoys Team Scores Against Riverwood and Rivers; Kate Kerber Claims First Iron Bear Title

On Monday, November 21st, the Bears hosted Riverwood and Rivers at Cumming Aquatic Center for their annual Thanksgiving week meet. At the end of the day, the Bears claimed all three team scores.

In addition to the Bears winning the tri-meet, Kate Kerber claimed the first Iron Bear title in school history. The Iron Bear is given to athletes who qualify for state in all events. Kerber qualified in the 500-freestyle at this meet which was the last event she needed to earn the honor. She has qualified in the 200-freestyle, 200-individual medley, 50-freestyle, 100-butterfly, 100-freestyle, 500-freestyle, 100-backstroke, and 100-breaststroke. This is an incredibly difficult thing to do and shows how versatile of an athlete she is. Congratulations, Kate!
