The divers were the first to compete for the day. The 6-dive format is challenging to qualify for state and requires a high level of difficulty in a short routine. Going into today's competition, the girls team already has three qualifiers.

For the girls, Gracie Counsell had a great performance with challenging dives and high levels of execution. She won the event and was able to secure her place as the fourth girls qualifier for the Bears with a total of 209.55 points.

Kate McKay took second, Emilija Ragaine took third, and Addy Woods took fourth.

Our top four finishers have all earned a spot on the state roster for now, but there is a lot of talent on this girls team that is hoping to put up a fight for the top 4 scores to go to the state meet. Hana El-Gazairly took fifth, Julia Versluis took sixth, and Maddy Mild took eighth.

For the boys team, Jack Oblen continues to show improvement and took second with a score of 150.85. Brendan Hunt took third.

After a great weekend of competition, the Bears will have a much deserved rest for a couple weeks! They will be back in action on December 17th at the Meet of Champions at Marist, followed by a meet against rival Alpharetta on the 19th. The Bears will then face off against Denmark right before Christmas. The year will round out with some dive action and then the Bears will be in the home stretch leading up to state! At this point, the girls team remains undefeated.

Go Bears!
