Diving

The Bears started off the meet with a strong showing in the dive competition. Cambridge had one male diver, Maddox Riddick, who showed a lot of improvement in his most challenging dives. Riddick placed third in the 11-dive competition with a score of 280.90. Cambridge had three divers competing in the girls' 11-dive competition: Noor El-Gazairly, Haley Copeland and Margeaux Messier. All three divers showed a lot of improvement and were able to secure the scores they needed to earn their state qualifying score and degree of difficulty. El-Gazairly took first with a score of 325.75, Copeland took second with a score of 312.40 and Messier took third with a score of 303.15. Kate McKay competed in the 6-dive competition along with Camila Montes and Michaela Prevallet. In the 6-dive competition, McKay took third followed by Montes in 7th and Prevallet in 9th.

With El-Gazairly, Copeland and Messier joining McKay on the state roster, there's a lot to look forward to for Cambridge at the state meet this year!

The state dive meet has changed its format to only be a 6-dive meet, so the ladies will be working the rest of the season on perfecting their short routine to get ready for the competition they will see in February.
