Lady Bears JV Softball Ends Season with a 9-1 Win Over Dunwoody, Thursday, Sept. 26th

The Lady Bears JV Softball team coasted to an easy victory over Dunwoody 9-1 on Thursday, Sept. 26th to end their season 10-3-1.

The Bears got things started in the first inning with a triple by Grace Barrett, followed by a double from Savanna DePriest on the first pitch of the at bat, driving in one run. Delaney Boehmer's double drove in another run.

Amari Givers double in the second inning drove in a run to put the Bears up 3-1. Jayda Braithwaite brought in a run during the third inning with a double on the first pitch of the at bat.

The Bears put up three runs in the fourth inning, with Barrett and DePriest all knocking in runs in the inning. Annabelle Furr and Cassidy Key both singled in the fifth with Barrett driving in the final run of the game with a line drive to center field.

Barrett earned the win for Cambridge Bears JV. She allowed three hits and one run over five innings, striking out nine and walking one.

Cambridge scattered 11 hits in the game. Barrett, Jayda Braithwaite, and DePriest all collected multiple hits for the Bears. Barrett went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead in hits. The Bears didn't commit a single error in the field.  Boehmer had the most chances in the field with ten.
