Cambridge Softball's Lauren Cooper Throws Perfect Game against Northview, Monday, Sept. 30th

Lauren Cooper threw a perfect game on Monday, September 30th to lead the Lady Bears past Northview 13-0. 

Nikki Tanguay led the Bears on offense by driving in four runs. She went 3-for-3 at the plate and drove in runs on a single in the first, a single in the fourth, and a single in the fifth.

In the first inning, Cambridge got their offense started with Ariel Birnbaum walking and a single by Livi Payne. Tanguay drove in two when she singled on a line drive to center field.

Cambridge scored ten runs in the fifth inning. The offensive onslaught came from singles by Liz Seymour, Jessie Smith, Savanna DePriest and Tanguay, a double by Smith, and home runs by Cooper and Chooch Carroll.

Cooper took the win for Cambridge. She lasted five innings, allowing zero hits and zero runs while striking out nine and walking zero...a Perfect Game!

The Bears finish region play by hosting Alpharetta on Wednesday, October 2nd at 5:30pm.
