Cambridge Boys Varsity Soccer Opens 2019 Season with Win at Forsyth Central, Thursday, Jan. 31st

The Cambridge boys soccer team opened the 2019 season with a 4-1 result at Forsyth Central, Thursday, January 31st.  

The Bears opened with a challenging and dynamic Forsyth Central squad, both squads felt each other out for the first 10 minutes of play then Cambridge found the back of the net when Jaber Obeid slotted a pass across the mouth of the goal to Christian Guzman, Bears 1-0.  Then 12 minutes later at the 22 minute mark in the first half Trey Rielly found the back of the net after nice team work and passing from Jabar Obeid and Omar Dhrif, Bears 2-0.  Two minutes later Ethan Rose found Lucas Pegorer with a long, direct, pass, Bears 3-0.  The half time score was 3-0 Bears. 

The second half opened with Bears controlling play and position.  Lucas Pegorer netted his brace for the night in the 25th minute, Bears 4-0.  Central Forsyth rallied for a score in the 35 minute, Bears 4-1. 

A good opening match for the Bears which are just getting their sea legs for the new season.
