After competitive team selections, the Cambridge Boys Soccer 2018 season is underway. The JV boys team has played 3 matches against local and rival teams with modest success thus far. With a record of 3-0 the JV boys team has prevailed in very close competitive matches.
Luke Highlander opened the season scoring with a nice header goal. Christian Guzman scored the winner with just 17 seconds remaining versus Milton in our home opener allowed us to prevail 2-1.
Our second match was a 3-1 victory at Roswell HS. Christian Guzman tallied 2 goals while Carter Johnson added a goal and assist. A real solid victory in our first away match.
In our third match we hosted a quality side from Duluth HS. After an even first half of a scoreless tie, Cambridge played well in the second creating many chances and getting the winner off a nice assist from Juan Elam to a Gonzalo Morales header goal.
Most all of our players have seen significant playing time and made contributions to our early success. We hope to improve throughout the season.
Go Bears!
