Cambridge Boys Soccer Defeats #6 Clarkston Improving to 12-1-0, Wednesday, March 28th

The Bears faced an athletic and dangerous #6 ranked Clarkston squad at the Bear Den and earned a 3-2 result improving to 12-1-0 on the season.

The game was a grinder as Clarkston's athleticism and speed challenged the Bears throughout the match.  Clarkston opened the scoring 8 minutes into the match, but the Bears scored an equalizer in the 16thminute when Omar Dhrif scored off an assist from Reece Degan.  The Bears took the lead in 24th minute when Jarvin Ramirez found the back of the net off an assist from John Crawley; the Bears went into the half leading 2-1.

As in the first half, Clarkston opened the scoring in the 2nd half in the 45th minute to tie the match at 2-2.  The match was frenetic for most of the 2nd half with both teams struggling for control.  Then, on a counter-attack in the 68th minute, Reece Degan found John Crawley for the game winner goal.  Clarkston had several chances as time expired but could not find the back of the net.

Next up for the Bears is a very tough AAAAAAA #6 ranked Lambert squad on Senior Night, Wednesday, April 11.
