Bears Boys Soccer Prevails in Milton Darby 3-1, Friday, Feb. 23rd

Milton, GA February 23, 2018 – Cambridge High School Boys Soccer Team prevailed in the Milton Darby vs Milton High School 3–1 on Friday night, Feb. 23rd at Milton. 

The Bears took an early 2-0 advantage on goals by Reece Degan and John Crawley and could have gone up 3-0 but a third goal was waived off on a delayed questionable foul call by the Center Referee in the box.  Within minutes of the goal being waived off Cambridge was awarded a Penalty Kick due to a handball in the box called against Milton. Reece Degan buried the ball in the back of the net and Cambridge led 3-0 at half time. 

Cambridge controlled the match with position style play in the second half as Milton chased the game. Midway through the second half Milton scored on a deflected free kick from just outside the top of the 18 yard box on the left side of the pitch making the score 3-1. On another call in the box late in the match Milton was awarded a Penalty Kick which was promptly blocked and controlled by an athletic Nic Sides

Cambridge is 5-0 for the season leads the Milton Darby 3-1-2, back to back wins. 

The boys first Region 7AAAAAA match is at 7:55PM on Tuesday, February 27th, at a scrappy Dunwoody High School.
