Bears Varsity Boys Soccer Post 2-0 Win over 7A Cherokee Warriors, Wednesday, March 22nd

The Bears posted a 2-0 win over Cherokee Wednesday night, March 22nd.

Jabar Obeid got the Bears on the board with 12 minutes left in the game for the 1-0 lead.  Just 7 minutes later Harrison (the wizard) Fields sent a cross field pass to Reece Degan who buried his shot into the back of the net for his first career varsity goal.

Coach Wallace said, "This game was awesome for us as it really reinforced what we want to do as a team and how we want to play.  The whole theme of this game was rhythm and tempo and hopefully we can return to that on Friday at Johns Creek, which is going to be a really tough game.  To be able to win 2-0 reinforces that style of play and is what we want to do. Cherokee is a good 7A team and tonight was a good result for us."

The Bears returned to the state top 10 rankings this week (in 9th) after last weeks success and will travel to play the states 5th ranked team at Johns Creek on Friday night, March 24th in a very important region matchup.

Go Bears!
