Bears Varsity Boys Soccer Tie Etowah 2-2, Monday, March 13th

The Bears Boys Soccer team traveled to Etowah Monday, March 13th, for a non-region game against the 2nd ranked team in 7A.

After going down 2-0 early, the Bears rallied back on a goal by Jabar Obeid 17 minutes into the game. With 14 seconds left in the half, John Crawley was fouled in the box and Ethan Rose nailed the PK to tie up the game at 2-2 going into halftime.

Cambridge came out aggressive in the 2nd half, according to Coach Wallace, and kept the pressure on creating numerous opportunities.

When the game was over, Etowah chose not to play overtime despite the Bears wanting to continue play.  Consequently the game ended in a 2-2 tie.

"All in all it was the best game we played this year which has been somewhat of a rollercoaster to this point", said Wallace.  We just need to continue this going into our region game with a very good Alpharetta team this Friday.

Come support the Bears Friday night, March 17th at Alpharetta at 8pm!

Go Bears!
