Cross Keys Community Service Day a Huge Success

Cross Keys Community Service Day a Huge Success

It was a beautiful day for what head Coach Bryan Wallace says is his favorite day of the year, as the entire team came together to hold a soccer skills clinic for the Cross Keys community.

Varsity coach Matt Horth led a series of drills and games assisted by players throughout the morning, with plenty of water and snack breaks in between.  Head freshman team coach Jose Franco was even seen attempting to show off his soccer skills with the kids. Coach Franco was happy to report that he didn't pull any muscles in the activities he participated in.

VP of Events for the Soccer Booster Club, Inger Fields, said "We all enjoy supporting each other and have a great group of parents and players which makes everything much easier. Today was a team effort and all ran beautifully. Seeing the players interact with the kids was truly heartwarming and made me proud to be a Cambridge Bears Mom."

Inger also wanted to acknowledge the amazing participation by parents who donated food bank items and plenty of water, sports drinks and snacks that the kids enjoyed during the scheduled breaks throughout the morning.
