Bears Varsity Boys Soccer Defeats Roswell, 2-1 Friday, February 10th

The CHS Boys Soccer team showed their powerhouse status with a strong 2-1 win over a tough Roswell High School team Friday night, February 10th. Freshman Austen Carranza and Sophomore Jack Tindle each had a goal while Nic Sides dominated in goal.

Coach Wallace said "Roswell was an excellent test for us and will be one of the best teams we face all season.  I was pleased with our ability to manage the different phases of the game and to be able to deal with then pressure Roswell applied the last 20 minutes of the game.

It was nice to see goals coming from different places (JT and Austen) as it makes us a tougher team to deal with when everyone is a threat.  Once again the back line was extremely strong and limited Roswell to only 2 or 3 real chances.  The midfield worked extremely hard and allowed us to control some key stretches of the game, including the first 20 minutes of the 2nd half.

I was really happy to see a little bit of a crowd in the stands and I'm looking forward to great rivalry game against Milton."

Come support the team on Tuesday, February 14th at 7:55pm at home in a showdown against Milton!!!

GO BEARS !!!
