The Cambirdge Boys Varsity Soccer team has advanced to the Elite 8 in the state soccer playoffs following a tough 3-0 win over Glynn Academy (Brunswick, GA), Tuesday, May 3rd.
The score was 1-0 until 2:40 left in the game, when the Bears added a penalty kick, and then a final goal in the last minutes.
Two goals were scored by Brett Stephens, and the PK was scored by Alex Mueller. The defense held Glynn Academy scoreless, led by Diego Zarate, and Zack Evens in goal.
The boys will now head down to NorthGate High School in Newnan, Georgia on Friday, May 6th to play for a chance to represent Cambridge in the Final Four of the State Playoffs.
