Cambridge Boys Varsity Soccer Wins Against North Atlanta 2-0 and Secures Home Field Advantage for First State Playoff Game - Friday, April 15th
The Boys Varsity Soccer team continued their winning streak on Friday, April 15th, versus the North Atlanta Warriors.
This was the second time the Bears defeated the Warriors in region play. Both teams played with immense pressure and had multiple shots on goal. The Bears took the lead when John Crawley scored off a beautiful passing sequence in the first half. Then, with 17 minutes left in the game, Ryan Pratt scored off a corner kick that was bobbled by the North Atlanta goalkeeper. The Bears shut out the Warriors with a final score of 2-0.
This win guarantees the Bears home field advantage for the first State Playoff game, April 26th, time TBD.
The Bears will be traveling to Riverwood on Tuesday, April 19th for the Region 7 AAAAA Championship at 7:30pm.

Boys Varsity Soccer Defeats Rome and Advances to State Playoffs - Tuesday, April 12th
Cambridge Boys Varsity Soccer traveled to Rome on Tuesday, April 12th for a win that secured a position in the State Playoffs.
The Bears started strong with two goals scored by Brett Stephens and one goal scored by John Crawley within the first 27 minutes of the game. Rome continued to pressure the Bears defense and scored off a powerful shot with 6 minutes left before the half. The score was now 3-1.
Both teams were energized in the second half with several attempts on goal. Goalkeeper Zack Evens had some incredible saves while the defense continued to work at keeping Rome from gaining scoring position. Mid-way into the second half, Lucas Figueiredo scored the last goal of the game, sealing the win for the Bears with the final score 4-1.
Next up, the Bears will play two games to determine seeding in the State Playoffs:

Tuesday, April 19th, 7:30 pm @ Riverwood
