The Cambridge Boys Varsity soccer team hosted North Atlanta on their last home game for the regular season, Wednesday, March 30th. The Bears were victorious with a 4-1 win.
The Bears were prepared to take down the North Atlanta team early in the game and dominated play with four goals being scored. Two goals were scored by Lucas Figueiredo #7, one goal by Matt Lakatos #8 and one goal by John Crawley #2. Despite several attempts, North Atlanta remained scoreless going into the first half of the game. It wasn't until late in the second half that a goal was scored on the Bears.
The win for the Bears was a team effort with special recognition going out to all of the Seniors, for their leadership and outstanding contributions to the team: Captains Brett Stephens and Alex Mueller, Mark Asante, Zack Evens, Lucas Figueiredo, Matt Lakatos and Kamron Wilson.
Next up, the Bears will be traveling to Rome on Tuesday, April 12th 6:00pm for a win to the state playoffs.
