Cambridge Men's JV Soccer Defeats Forsyth Central 1-0 Thurs. Feb. 27th

Temperatures were in the 30's on the night of Thursday, February 27th, but the soccer action was hot as the Cambridge Bears took on the Bulldogs of Forsyth Central High in men's JV soccer.

The two teams battled hard, keeping the game scoreless until just before the end of the first half, when Kamron Wilson scored with 20 seconds left on the clock. The Bulldogs snarled louder during the second half, but the Bears roared back, with sweeper Fred Severtsen organizing a strong defense and allowing very few shots on goal.

In the final few moments of the game, the desperate Bulldogs made one last surge, but Keeper Zach Shirk shut down both goal attempts, leaving the final score, 1-0.

Men's JV Soccer returns to Bear Country next week with two home games: Monday, March 3rd against Osborne (5:45pm) and Wednesday, March 5th against Creekview (7pm).

Come cheer on your Cambridge Bears!
