Bears Varsity Boys Soccer Fall to Riverwood 4-0 Monday April 15th

The boys varsity soccer team fought hard against Riverwood, Monday night April 15th.

At the half, the Cambridge was down, 2-0.  The Bears defensive line of Tyler Lee, Zack Midulla, Avery Spalding, and Robert Siegel held back multiple attacks by the Raiders.  Defense regular John Barnabei is out due to a broken wrist suffered in the North Springs match on April 11, 2013.  Keeper John Shayne had a spectacular save on a PK at the end of the half.

The second half did not bring any goals for the Bears, but not for lack of trying.  Multiple shots by Nick Salter, Daniel Tuck, and Garrett Shan were intercepted or went wide.  Second half goalie Zac Evens was also out due to injury from the North Springs match, which kept Shayne in goal the entire game.  Riverwood squeezed in two more goals bringing the final score to 4-0.

Next game is Wednesday, April 17th at 5:45 PM at Cambridge.  Come early for our Senior Recognition program that begins at 4:30 pm in the stadium.

Go Bears!!
